Default Q: Firmware reflash for installing programs?

Does a firmware have to be installed to the E6 for you to mod the phone and to add mpkg files, lin files and other files for games.

Nope, you don't have to flash your phone for those to work... You'll only need to flash the phone if the firmware that you are using does not allow installation of unsigned pkg files, and the only firmware I know that behaves that way is .10p...

    Hope this helps!

    lhon,

i think that was more of a noob question asking if any firmware should be installed at all..

and the answer is yes. some or the other firmware is always installed on the phone, otherwise it wont boot up. it's like windows on ur comp, now it may come with some version, you may change it to other versions, but it's always got to be there. u cant install, say a game and play it, without any windows on it, can you?

    cheers!
