Thread: Q: Is there Poor Reception Fix for ROKR E6??

  1. #1

Default Q: Is there Poor Reception Fix for ROKR E6??

Well i have always found the reception quality of moto is poor in comparison with other handsets.

I used to have LG handset and it got a good and clear reception. Now i have switched to motorola(as they said that it got good reception even at the end of network coverage), but to add an insult to my injury, it still has poor reception.

In day time the reception is good, but in the evening and night i could hardly get the person talking from the other end(even if they use land line). And this is not due to the poor network coverage, as my old phone got good reception through out the day.

    MY QUERY IS-
IS THERE ANY WAY TO BOOST THE RECEPTION QUALITY OF MOTORLA??

lol I find this wierd, the ROKR E6 and my MING seem to have the best reception in all my previous phones which include a SE M600i, SE K790, Nokia 5500 and a Nokia N73ME. I keep travelling ou of town quite a bit and the E6 has signal where no other phone could recieve signal, and if I generally use my N73 and then my E6 its like a relief cause everything is so clear on the E6

Well, you can try using the quad-band script of alpha, and also set the connection speed from "medium" to "fast" or "continous"...

    Hope this helps!

connection speed... i haven't heard that one earlier.. where do i change that from.. and what does it imply...

now for the reception.. i think motorola is one of the pioneers in mobile communications and they ought the be the best in their area of expertise..

if you have been facing issues with the reception.. i think you got a faulty handset.. probably.. try getting it checked at a service center... or if you can grab another ming or E6 to try in the same areas.. to verify if its the handset issue..

Sorry for not being clear... You can change it from the "phone call" menu, go there by clicking on the "dialing" icon on the top right, then options>set-up>network set-up>options>search set-up...

It will then search the network by the speed you specify, if you chose fast then it will search for the network faster... It does seem to increase my signal somewhat...

i agree that motorola has the best reception as compared to other handsets. The people who live in and visit our house have Nokias, SEs and Samsungs, so far my E6 usually has the best reception
