Q: Blue Skin / Theme?

Hi,

I installed a new firmware on my E6 and I noticed that the default blue skin/theme is missing. Now i was pretty used to that color on the screen, but i really like this firmware.

I have searched thru the links in the stickies and the the mototheme section. but it's not there.

Any pointers?

Well there's nothing much you can do, maybe you can ask the developer of that firmware to add that skin to it..
Or search for another theme.. I suggest bezman's irok theme...

may be he's right.
there are a lot of other good themes to choose from.

got this off my phone without telnetting thanks to a script (from eakrin?)
it also includes the yellow and black theme

But what exactly do i do with those files? Even if i telnet, where do i put them? And how. I dont think I would have direct write permissions on there.

Or is that script you talked about also capable of putting it back there (opposite of extract..)

ahh...i din know u wanted this to be part of the default themes....i gave it to u so that u could use it as a skin using eakrins skin installer

I was hoping it can replace one of the "existing" skins. I mean, theoritically it should be possible. You know, just replace all the corresponding files of an already existing skin, say the "Gold" which I have, and never use, with the "Blue". If you have any pointers for that, it would be great.

But I guess even the other way would do. So many thanks for the help. I will set up Eakrin's Skin Installer and hopefully it will work I just didnt want to do all that because i'm not a fan of skins and themes and changing them. All i want is the default blue thing, and i'll keep it for ever. Cluttering my phone with skin installers etc, is not exactly what i'm looking for :P

well u could try ekonsole or some jack like that..im not a master here...ask aksd or imahottguy ...they def may be able to help u...or u could try modding the CG of the firmware u have and then flashing the phone???

Well, if you really like to add the "blue" skin again to the theme, try using the "CGYWIN" method I posted earlier...

You'll need to replace the "skin" folder on CG34 with the file konig posted and then add it back to the firmware of your choice and then flash it...

Wow!

That looks more complicated than using Eakrin's skin installer. Ha ha.

But i will give it a shot when i have some time on my hands, this weekend hopefully..
