Default Q: How to have virtual keyboard assigned to existing keypad

    Hello,
Can anybody help me on how to assign the numeric keypad 1...9 for the existing keypad consisting of four buttons(green, red, Internet and customised key) & central circular keypad with 5 key functions, which in all makes 9 keys.

Also is it possible to get softkeys (left & right ) on display.

    Regards

what you're suggesting wouldn't be possible without the E6 kernel sources availible. However, if you are trying to get a java application to work with your phone, you might have better luck modifying the jar file.

try this thread. You'll find information on how to make apps touch-compatible with a sort of virtual num.pad overlay on the screen. hope that helps.

i'm sorry, but it simply doesn't work. i tried couple of .jar applications. in some applications in the top left corner it senses at 3 to 4 positions, but meaninglessly. i can't even see the numbers on my screen. Anyway thanks for the thread.
