    when is the dam kernel source coming out for thios phone. i do remember reading a thread saying about how we lost support freom moto, does that mean never?

    We've been trying since march. No luck. Motorola doesn't care.
    I'm so cool, I had the E6 before the E2 launched! Wait. Never mind...

    With the Kernel source, what could we do? that will help understand why everyone is so euphoric about it.

    In theory, support could be added for SDIO cards (Wifi Card) and also SDHC card ( 4-32GB storage). But it is unclear until we get the source. This is just off of the top of my head. There are limitless possibilities if the source is released. Look at the ROKR E2: Hackers actually added cut/paste/copy functions to the phone. Now that is impressive. All due to a hacked kernel.
