First do a Master Reset which is located in Setup. The password is all 0's. If this does'nt work remove your memory card, reflash and check if it still has the problem. IF the problem persists its hardware related.

The screen guard is not the issue most probably, but no harm in trying to remove it. Take it to the nearst service center. Thats your best bet.
