Q: MPKG and Busybox

Ok, I am basically what the title says a relative idiot. I was hoping to update the theme on my E6 but with the busybox and the all the other bruhaha, got completly lost. I run on WinXP on my PC, basically here are my problems

Where do I install the busybox phone/PC?
How do I install it there?

I think from there I can follow the instructions that are provided. Thank you for the help ahead of time.

I think you need to get mpkg first then install busybox. When you download the mpkg file and extracted its a file name .system if you cant see it go to your tools then folder options select view and select show hidden files and folders, hook up your phone to your pc backup your original .system folder, then move the .system file that you download it over right the original one ( make sure you backup your original one first) after that just put busybox on any folder on your phone then unplug your phone fromyour pc, then look for the folder where you put busybox select it and hold it a window pops up select "open with" then select "mpkg". And that how you do it or thats how I did it on my a1200 if you want to try it or wait for another reply it up to you?

Ok now I am even more confused. Isn't busybox an mpkg installer?

MPKG is the installer, busybox is a multi call bnary, its like a jack of all trade app in the console.

Ok and the saga continues. Installed the mpgk loader now is there an .exe or something like it in the busybox that I have to run to install it?

Please read through that artice before posting questions. Its a sticky for a reason. What exactly do you want to do with busybox? Its a binary used in some apps or if you want to use certain unix commands in the console using the eKonsole app.

1. you will need some mpkg installer.. i would recommend smart assistant click here to know about it.
2. download Eakrin's Skin installer (the file for Busybox is included in Eakrins zip file. It is installed just like any other PKG file). You can also optionally install a second pkg file, ezxpopup.pkg (also included in the package).

3 . follow this thread and you should be fine..

Installed smart assistant. When I try to install Eakrin's Skin Installer for everything it gives me a message; "Wrong fromat edit Splash?"
