    anyway, how do iset up a server type thing to back up my phone to both windows xp and to linux. anyguides. please and thanks.

    does it do it connected or non connected. ilike i can send the data with GPRS

    You can use bluetooth/cable with MPT. If you prefer GPRS, then you can go to scheduleworld.com

    EDIT:
    sounds good. but i wana know how i can run my own server on my pc. my phone would back up on it when i go to menu>sync> Sync OTA. anyway of doing that? also i have aim for mail and i use there email with Outlook, anyway i can use AIMs email for a OTA snyc?

    Maybe you can take a look at www.funambol.com , its SyncML server in Java.

    ok, so im using the schedule site.and bagus thanks, ill use that for when i get my linux running. but quick question. when i hit ota on my phone it does everything, but on recive it stop and i get failed on data something. helpppss

    I have a problem too with scheduleworld, because not all my contacts are stored in the server.

    Funambol stored all my contacts, but there is a missing fields in funambol so not all number is stored.
