Need Help in Development!

Hi All

I am planning to develop an applicaion for ROKR E6 to control a ROVER(Mainly Direction) through E6's BluetOoth!

I need help for developing that application! & I am newbie for developing application & for linux tooo!!

Ths is for my Final Year Project.. My Main Aim is to control a Device through my ROKR E6...n With Bluetooth interface!

Helps & Advice r most Welcome!
Also tell me if it is possible and can be done in a few months!

You'll need to do it in Java. The Java SDK is avaiable on the morotorola developers website. It is possible but it'll be a bit hard to do. If you are in Bangalore I can direct you to people who can help you with your project

Here is all you would need to get around this..

- You need to know Java & OOP Concepts
- Then you need to learn J2Me (Java Micro Edition) development.. the SDK's are freely available on the website.
- If you know java, j2me is easy....

and then you will find tutorials on bluetooth connections

Why Java? He Probably knows C++ already, and it would be no use doing a Java app unless he wants to use it on some other phone, which would have a lot of complex phone depending on the way manufacturer's handle J2ME on their Phones.

I'd rather suggest C++ / EZX based as to run on the E6.

true he can use C++ if he's already into it.. though its more complex.

well my belief is that as long as you can make a mobile application in java... do it in java!! there will always be another cell that can run it the sameway

And I dont have any idea.. how I am going to control Bluetooth... and getting data through it! SO PLS HELP ME IN THAT ISSUE!

is your rover ready to interact via bluetooth??

and maybe if u know desktop programming... u cud try making a windows application first to do the same with your laptop or some bluetooth dongle
