Q: Backing up Contacts from MotoRokr E6 with MPT

Hi

I got the MPT CD along with the MotoRokr E6, which it says can be used to backup contacts, SMS etc.... I installed MPT, and when it opens with the phone picture it initially says switching to Modem mode and then on the phone screen it says: Initializing please wait.... and is in this state forever. All other options are watered out, since its in the Initializing state. Has anyone faced this issue? What is the fix to this. Any help will be great!!

try rebooting your pc, if that doesn't work...delete all mpt profiles close mpt, connect your phone and open MPT....if that doesn't work, then uninstall MPT and reintall it, reboot your pc, connect your phone and start MPT

i had this problem for a while myself. then i gave up on MPT. Uninstalled it from my comp.

then i went back to MPT after like 3 months, and i got that latest version of it. (4.5.1c i think, not sure). just installed that and it worked like a whiz. see if u can update it to that version and get it working.
