OPIE program

Hey guys found this on CCMOVE some chineese site. i got it to work on my phone pretty kool lil PDA half the stuff did not work but still kool to try out.

The way it works is you have to paste the opie folder in your sd card using telnet.. You just cant copy paste or extract it does not work..

so like this \\192.168.16.2\system\mmc\mmca1 anywhere on your sd is fine.

after that just install the Opie.pkg like any .pkg

It takes 20- 30 sec to load up when starting it so dont think your phone froze ..

hey ed52282, did u telnet thru running the telnet .lin (linloader) script?

Follow this link to learn about OPIE. In short, its supposed to be an open UI and set of apps that will run on most devices. It runs very smoothly on our device, which is cool, but cannot control any of the phone features which are essential.

Hey finally i got it working .... i was downloading using the download manager and thats y it was not working ..... i did not paste the folder using telnet normal copy paste did it and i have installed perfectly fine and it is working real smooth except for the log out thing as it did not work for me i waited for 30 min but it did not work so had to take out my batt ... and most of the applications were not working but it would be realy great if the apps work ..... anyways good fine ........ thank you very much ....
