hard key shortcut customisation

guys, can the hard "browser" key be customized to be a opera mini shortcut?..so that if i hit it, it takes me to the start page of opera mini and not the default browser.........i have come across the thread of iamhotguy, but iam not to sure...!

Yes, you can set it to any application that is there in your menu..

hey I tried changin the hardkey.cfg in the f/w to have the carrier keymodded to something else it diditn work .

Is it becuz it needs to map it first then it can be remapped ? or if i use the custom cfg your app gave me it will wokr ?

Do you have VR activated in your current f/w? If so, my app will not work. Also, if you are trying to do a f/w that has it premodded, I don't know how to go about that exaclty. As the CG42 is for /ezx_user/setup/ I believe, and not necessarily for /usr/setup as well. Which is where the hardkey.cfg is (in both dir). Hope this helps a bit...

lol actualy this confuses me , 1 thing for sure modding the one in cd42 (no sub folder doesnt do the trick ..) I only saw 1 ezx_hardkey.cfg I been lookin in those other dir witch are located in cg 43 not in cg 42 and I dont find any ..

well actually, now that I think about it, I modded a custom CG42 for my phone (to see if it would work, also b/c i wanted to enable USB Net) and it put my hard key to the music app. Try this: Copy your whole /ezx_user/setup/ directory to somewhere (like the mmc/mmca1/ directory for ease) and then boot linux, edit CG42, replace the whole contents of the CG42 w/ your setup files, and flash it. If it doesn't fail, and doesn't change, then you have successfully modded it.
