Camera Shutter Sound

Is there anyway to disable the camera shutter sound? Thanks

You sure can. In Camera mode, goto Setup -> Photo Setup (4th icon) -> Shutter and set it to Silent. Don't forget to Save the setting.

umm...i dont think that option is there on a couple of firmware....im runnin .06p n its not in the options

Really? I only have the vanilla firmware and only the .02p one. It's strange that the later versions wouldn't have it.

this one mutes ur camera shutter...to enable the shutter again u have to uninstall the pkg file

Yea...I don't have an option to mute the shutter sound. I guess it's my firmware. Anyone recommend a different firmware?

umm...try that file i suggested earlier...mebbe it will help...

n if u dont like it...u can uninstall it...follow the guide on how to uninstall pkg files...its a sticky

I tried that file but it doesn't work. It installed....my phone restarted....but the camera still makes a sound and theres no mute option. ?


*EDIT* - I didn't see the mute icon in the menu. It works fine now. thanks!
