cant install MPKG on my ROKR E6...INVALID APPLICATION...can some one help ...its been days requesting for help...tried all the attachments throughout the site ...copy pasted all...yan and all taht... whats the use of forums....requested if someone could provide a file or something that i can copy paste in the memory card as i have formatted it trying for numerous days now....just copy paste it on the memory card and MPKG works so i can install the YMPLAYER...... PLEASE people.... this is a forum ....kindly help....if wanted will post vids for everyone then as per requests.... but please provide a file for ROKR E6 ... i mean someone who has already installed it on a ROKR E6....so taht i know its working and i can copy paste as is and it works.......again requesting....!!!!

Just copy and paste this in the mmc card, if you have to overwrite your .system folder then do that. BTW dial WWW008W in your phone and tell me your S/W version. You can get W by saying insert in the phone pad.

Copy pasted the file but same...
"INVALID APPLICATION FILE...THE FILE CANNOT BE USED"
....and the icons are also like a yellow exclamation

What i suggest is that you flash your phone with one of the available f/w's. Then try it.

what I suggest Is you replace your whole .system folder on your memorycard ( have to show hidden files in order to see it in windows) with a workin one

Thanks for the help everyone... apologies for angry words DAGr8...but love the phone. I like installing things and watching vids on it would be great. Everyone seems to have the ymplayer owkring and the MPKG this owrking too except me... tried the file you recommended but same exclamation mark on the icon and not working....guess will have to put in a different firmware... hope there would be one with built in MPKG and YMPLAYER...!!

I've had this problem once or twice.. I've installed a lot of apps on my phone, and they all used to work well.. Then one day I installed/uninstalled something.. Or maybe changed some settings (dunno exactly what) but from then all the applications I click on say 'invalid application'..

The problem went away after I rebooted, fortunately........

Thanks every one... sorry for the anger ...but i finally resolved it... the problem was the firmware...but the anger was justified i think... coz the firm ware that came with my phone "R533H8_G_11.22.20R" is said to be the latest by moto.... with many bug fixes....i had to remove it and put the Ahman one... no complaints as it does look good...fonts are bit to big even after i choose small fonts in settings... but well... just a small advice to mods...for faster helps... or maybe open up sections for trouble shooting...as i noticed many threads opening up with some kind of video problem ot the other... i know there already are sections...but one thread for people to shout in .... would be nice.... would definitely try to help anyone needing it as NOW i am starting to understand this phone ....thanks to all the users... specially "JAX"..."DAGr8"...."imahottguy"...and "AKSD"....gotta go on to the other forum and do the same !!!...

One more thing...can i change the font somehow??
