mine makes noise and vibrates like that when there's an alert...such as low battery. could it possibly be that?
Out of nowhere my E6 just makes little noises (the sound of a button click or something like that, not a beep). It happens maybe once an hour and sometimes it vibrates for a split second. It did this after I got it and then mysteriously stopped. I dropped it yesterday and it started again. phone seems to be working well otherwise. Anyone have any experience with this?

That's probably it! I haven't done the voicemail bug fix yet. Do you think doing that should eliminate problem? Man, I'm lame, I've had this phone for about three months now and still haven't changed firmware or done anything except quadband and edge script. I promise to motofans that i'll set some tmie aside to pimp my phone. Thanks all!
change your theme and restart your phone
I'm not sure if doing the voicemail bug fix would solve the problem. It was one of the first fixes i applied to the phone, before even receiving a voicemail.
The option to inform you of your alerts is in the setup, under ringer alert style.
You think 3 months is bad?
I took almost 3 whole weeks of reading continuous reading, going through forums and threads before i even started using my phone...lol. A lot of the info in these threads IS pretty overwhelming for someone who just bought the phone...partly because a lot of the programs mentioned keep getting changed and updated.
my phone did the same thing, I took out the battery, rebooted, works fine now..
u sure it is not a reminder?
My phone started doing the same thing yesterday, after I added a ton of apps and the Edge/Quadband script.
I have no idea which particular app is causing the problem but I am sure one of them is. I think it maybe the JavaHacker or Network name change programs I added. Just because they were the last two things I did before noise/vibrating started. It seems to go off, like once an hour maybe a little more, kinda strange.
Definetly not anything to do with signal strength, battery, notifications, alarms or settings. It just started happening.
Now I have firmware .02P. It could be a certain app just causes this, and I wonder what OPs FW is. I think I am going to uninstall the two programs that may be the culprits. If it stops then I will know. I have already tried restarting and taking the battery out. Was going to start new thread then found this old one.
Its not a huge problem, just a minor annoyance. I just wonder how many people have had this issue.
yeah it was my network name change ap.
I donn't know the real name off-hand, I got it off a list from the "encyclopedia of apps" thread.
Another issue it caused was that I did not recive notifications for missed calls, or anything while my network name was hacked.
So the program is too big of a trade-off for me, to lose notifications and to have that noise/vibration.
If anyone has had this issue, maybe a similar app is the culprit, maybe not.
