there is another thread with a group of people working on this, they have developed a T9 key pad, but the last i checked they are having trouble using it for SMS but they are working on the issue, to see the thread search t9 itll be there.......
Hi all,
I just bought my e6 on Saturday. It's nice and sleek but I am sorely missing my inability to type and compose msgs quickly due to the tiny on screen key board and lack of big touchscreen keypad for sms.
I just wanted to check if there is anything that allows for faster sms-ing apart from what's in the phone?
I don't know but I am so put off with the phone and it's the first I've felt this way for a new phone. It is such a pity as the e6 really looks good..

I have been following that thread, I've installed it and of cos it does not work as the default country code is +86, can this be changed?

I have dispatched an email to enquire on the possibility of developing a keyboard for the e6. it's a pity that this phone lacks so much and i may have to part with it as i am a heavy sms user.
and the modding, flashing and all, it is tedious for newbies like me. i hope motorola's fan base will expand so that more users will be interested and more developers will be born.
yea but mabey just mabey moto will be smart and make t9 for e6 in future firmware
o yea and i only started like a month ago youll catch on trust me it might all seem confusing now..... but read the guides and give things a try if u messup dont worry somebody will help
PS: Flashng isnt that hard its just the way the guide is worded, it does most of the stuff its self
yea i am trying to get it to work for me. thanks a lot for all the advice, much appreciated.
i dont know why but after getting all excited about buying the phone and after purchasing the phone, it is all such a downhill feeling.
i think i will sleep it off and perhaps i will feel better tomorrow.
u will have u tried looking at the a1200 thread alot of the stuff they do works on the e6 to.
