Customize Ringer Alert Style

Is there any way of changing how the phone rings & vibrates? I've checked through the phone's .cfg files couldn't find anything related to configuring these profiles. I've also searched these threads...couldn't find anything related to this.

I am trying to make it Ring and THEN Vibrate.
I had a ring alert style on a nokia before that I found useful, where it would beep once and then vibrate.

Any help would be appreciated.

I don't think you can do that. The ring/vibrate order is fixed.

In the ring an then vibrate option, set a beep tone as ringtone..

Hm, I see what you're getting at: choose "Vibe and Ring loud" so it vibrates and rings at the same time, then use a single beep as ringtone.

the problem with Ring and Vibrate is that the phone rings on a loop.
in other words, if i have a single 'beep' as a midi file, it will keep beeping over and over again while vibrating.
i haven't tried using an mp3 'beep' though.

Turns out it's the same issue with mp3 files. The beep would end up looping. I did manage to find an ad hoc solution for this though. I edited the mp3 beep file and added about 30 seconds of silence at the end (long enough for my phone to play the ring tone before going to voicemail), and selected the Ring and Vibrate option. This seems to somewhat duplicate the effect I was looking for.

Too bad motorola phone's aren't too customizable with their ring profiles though. I would have liked to set the ringtone volume, keypad volume, and vibration seperately, like on nokia phones.
