Trying to install a skin to my e6??????

Hi I have followed the "installing skins" guide and am a little confused as to what it means by "copying directly under the root on your SD card" it also asks you to do this with the "themes" FOLDER "Copy the entire skin folder under this themes folder on your SD card. e.g. e:\themes\tlinux1"

also how on earth do i install the pkg files in the mpkg installer ???????


I am soooo new to this modding stuff and would loooovvveee some help !

first of all, do you know how to install mpkg?

if not,

go dl the mpkg installation

make a backup of the things in ur sd card.

go to folder option and un-hide all the hidden files.

go into SD card -> .system -> java

right click on Card Registry & Open w/ Word Pad (let's call this WINDOW A)

do the same w/ the CardRegistry file that u unzip from the mpkg installation files that u downloaded. (Let's call this WINDOW B)

Now copy all the information on the CardRegistry (WINDOW B) and add to the end of Card Registry (WINDOW A) then hit SAVE and exit.

now copy the ghost and MPKG folder into QTDOWNLOAD

u are now done installating MPKG. go restart your phone.


in order to install a .PKG file, you must find that xxxx.pkg file, tap on it and hold it until it pops up something, then u choose OPEN WITH and find MPKG and hit OK. when u hear a SOUND (ding or something), it finish installing. Then now restart the phone.


i duno if the ROKR E6 is the same as the E680i, but becareful w/ installing theme, it might screw up ur phone if u do it wrong.

I have installed mkg thingy on my phone , [when go to menu its at the bottom like a computer icon?]

what does it mean the "root" of my SD card ? cause when I paste the theme/skin into the theme folder , and find it in "files and folders" it wont open when I hover and click "open with" ???????????

root means main folder

for example your SD card when inserted into the computer it becomes like E:\ Drive.

so put the file into the root folder means E:\

Tap the file w/ the pen and hold it for 5 seconds and it'll pop up the option of OPEN WITH

I have MPKG installed , I also downloaded LINloader un-rar'd it and copied it to the ROOT[ main folder/drive on the SD] on my pc , opened up "file manager" found the linloader file , held stylus over and selected "open with" and then selected MPKG and it still says cannot open this file ???!!!

I wish someone could do it for me ! he he

that means u didn't install MPKG correctly.

when u install the linloader file, was it like named linloader.pkg? .pkg is important at the end and not linloader.mpkg
