Need help with Tmobile in USA

Hello,

I've been running this phone for about two/three weeks... I noticed off and on the provider on my phone will change from Tmobile to Cingular.

I will revert back to Tmobile if I turn it off and turn it back on.

My question is whether this is just a bug on the phone or if I'm roaming in the Cingular network?... I don't want to wait for the bill to show up and be surprised....

I've heard of that happening to quite a bit of Tmobile subscribers. I believe you are roaming on the Cingular network but I can't say for sure 100%. All I know is when I go to the states, my provider display switches to Cingular even though I have Rogers but thats because I'm roaming on their network.

do you remember where you heard this from? I like to know for certain because if it is roaming to Cingular when Tmobile is available then I have to get rid of this phone...

I found the information awhile ago on www.howardforums.com

It was in the Tmobile and Rogers section. If you search roaming in the Tmobile or Cingular section, I'm sure you will find it.

Bad thing about this phone is there is no network selection menu or option to disable roaming

I found the threads there. It basically says in CA/NV area Tmobile is running off former Cingular towers. Nothing to worry about because it will not show up as roaming on Tmobile.

this happened on my SLVR L7 but not yet on my ROKR e6 & i didnt get any charges or anything when it did happen so it shouldnt be a big deal.
