Voice recognition: dialing people

so i finnaly got my phone and either i'm stupid or...there is no voice support for people in my phonebook.

my previous phone (a motorola V180) would allow you to record the person's name, then say it and it would dial that person. how do i do that on the E6?

Out the box the E6 does not support VR. However you can install a hybrid firmware that enables this feature.

Search the E6 forum for "hybrid" and "firmware".

im using ahman's "hybrid firmware" it has the voice commands for various phone functions, but im looking for dialing voice features. e.g. I say "call Jon Doe" and it will dial his number for me.

right now it only responds to "Dial Number" then it will ask for the number at which point I will then have to say his #

I can dial ppl in my ocntqat list by sayin there name

when VR starts it says 'please say a command or name' , then yo need to say the name and then home or mobile . example : suppose your contact is JP ,
and you wanna call him at home you have to say :
jp home sometimes VR will veify did you say JP home .. I suppose the more you use it the betr it will recognise your voice , I barely use VR , tho its a fun thing to have ..
