Default Formatting SD Card and restoring it back

    Hi,
If I take a backup of my SDcard in my PC, then format it clean. And recopy the stuff back to SDcard, will the content be restored. Will all my installed applications work fine.
I've to do this because I'm trying to delete non-responding ZMplayer. when I try to edit "config" in .system/java the PC gives me an error "Cycle Redundancy Error, cannot modify". Also the system cannot delete ZMplayer folder and gives an error "Cannot delete ZMplayer.png". So I plan to copy all stuff to PC. Modify the config file in PC. Format SD card and then recopy the modified stuff to SDcard.
    Please help. I need ZMplayer.

Should be fine, although Cyclic Redundancy Errors sounds like you could have a physical defect with your card.

But you've got nothing to loose. Copy all the files off the SD card including hidden files and empty directories. Format the SD card and recopy the files back.

    Best of luck!

    Jk

    THanks JK for the reply,

But I was fool, I locked the SDcard, I thought it was a lock so that miniSD cannot be removed from adapter, instead it was write lock.

So my problem is now solved, no more errors. Just flipped the switch and everything is working normal now.

    Thanks anyways
