Default Not able to rotate pics in PC..

    Hi all..

If I take a picture sideways with the E6, then transfer to the PC, it shows vertically and I need to rotate it to view it straight....
But each time I try, no matter what software I use to rotate, it says that the file is protected..

Even if I make a copy of a file and try to rotate that, it doesn't work..

Is anyone else bothered by this problem? How do I solve this issue?

    Thanks a lot in advance,
    JaX

Have you tried Irfanview.. a freeware for image editing. I use the same and the results are perfect.

I will try with Irfan view, thanks for your reply..
But have you tried rotating in windows by right clicking -> rotate clockwise?
Can you rotate the pic this way? Is it just me who can't?

It can't do for me too. The Picture and Fax viewer is a very basic app...Irfan view is much better.

    Thanks.. IrfanView works..
But I'll have to rotate each pic separately...

Is there any way to avoid that and rotate all the pics at once?

BTW one ques.. just curious, the camera button on E6 is on the side so I assumed that the right way to take a pic is by holding the phone sideways and clicking the button.. Right?

Explore Batch conversion and Settings for Advanced options. Any side rotation is possible.

There is no right / wrong way for shooting. Shoot in whatever way u feel comfortable and less shaky.

    Thank you my friend..

The batch conversion solves my problems..

Although... Can you or someone else explain why this is so? I thought perhaps the permissions that were automatically set for each photo didn't allow it to be edited..
But I'd tried resetting all the permissions for the file in Windows.. Still didn't work..
