Hey, just wanted to know if anyone can help me out with any of these questions? Any answers/replies are greatly appreciated, they'd really help me out with my phone troubles.

Does any one use any other chargers with the phone other than the oem charger supplied?
When you plug your phone in with the charger does the phone indicate to you in any way that it is being charged? (when the phone is turned off and also when it is on)
Can you use any other batteries with the phone other than the BC70?
Are there any other phones that use the BC70 motorola battery?
Do you need drivers installed on your computer to use the usb cable to charge the phone?
Do you need the motorola tools software installed and set up to detect your phone to charge the phone using the usb cable?

yes u need drivers as with any device
MPT comes with ur phone if you order it anywhere. , also charging on the computer isnt too smart, herd it messes with ur battery. i dont like it charging there

also i used ebay got mine for 282 with shipping thats USD

i tried my charger on a v3i so should work the other way round

yes when off it turns on in charging mode ,when on battery icon blinks

you can use BC60 but its lesser in charge capacity and you will have to add some kind of fillet like a folded piece of paper because its thinner than BC70

I don't think that you need the MPT installed to charge from your Machine. Perhaps the drivers might be necessary as I dint tested it since from the beginning I had the drivers installed. But without MPT also, while my mobile is connected to the machine, it gets charged properly.

yea jst the drivers are needed to just charge, but i dont recommend that idea.

yes its just the drivers ,but if you install MPT drivers are auto installed

Thanks for the replies, they really set me on the right path and help deal with my uncertainty. I've concluded now that my phone is definitely not working correctly , I'm looking it to getting it repaired now.
