    Default Fido internet on E6

    Hi guys
Thanks in advance for your help. Somehow I am not able to get internet on my E6. I am with Fido . I have spoken to 5 different agents but thaey all gave me the same settings for the phone. My phone gets stuck on Calling *99#, which is the dile up number. My settings are as following:

    Profile name: fido
    GPRS setting:
    APN: internet.fido.ca
    User name: fido
    Password: fido
    Timeout: 15 min
    Primary gateway id: 205.151.11.11
    Port: 8080
    CSD setting:
    Dial in number: *99#
    Baud rate: auto
    Line type: modem
    Time out: off

I have tried using all capital letters, leaving gateway id blank, but no avail.
Please help me , its really frustating.
    Thanks

hey , I got it to work perfect , try these in order ( imo removing the dial number will work )

remove the dial number (leave it blank ) ..
    port 9201 works for me
    and try wap.fido.ca

Also make sure when you connect to the internet you are connecting to your fido seetings you can set this up in profile , I got on equestion for you does yours phone show Fido or Rogers wireless on home screen ?

    Ok guys
Thanks for the help. I went to the Fido dealer, spent an hour there. all the settings were ok. The guy put his Sim in my phone and the internet worked ok but not with my Sim, so phone was ok. Called Fido from there but to no avail.
Came back and called Fido again and luckily got hold of this girl which right away knew what the problem was. She told me that because you are with Fido for over 2 years , your profile has to be updated so you can access the internet. It took 5 seconds on her end . I tried the phone off/on and viola, internet is working. Sad thing is no body else knew at Fido about this problem. Wasted 2 days for nothing.
Thanks guys, this might help someone else too.
