    Default call divert issue

just got the e6 a week ago. love it. my only real issue is the way it handles incoming calls.

on an incoming call, if im busy and hit the red 'end' button, the phone sends a busy signal to the caller instead of sending them to my vm.

does anyone else have this problem?

I checked the call divert options, and they're all set to my voicemail number. I contacted cingular, they said all the settings were set for callers to be sent to voicemail. They suggested I talk to motorola since it may be a software problem, and motorola pretty much told me to get lost since they don't sell the phone in the us.

Is this something that can be seem edited? or changed in anyway?

    no. still have the problem.

heres the funny thing though. If i'm plugged into my comp, running MPT, and i get an incoming call, I can hit the red end button on the computer screen and the call gets sent to voicemail. So....It wont forward to vm on the phone, but it will on MPT. im not sure whats goin on here.

I'm on .08p f/w btw. I'll check other f/w and see if i have the same problem.

ok so apparently its a firmware issue. I just loaded a different (newer, i think) firmware: E6E_CMCC_02P_yan0 which I dloaded off modmymoto.com. cant access the site right now for some reason so i cant link you, but it is under the downloads section for the E6. This fixed the issue.

Its a china mobile branded firmware though...so now im goin about trying to unbrand it.

ok. scratch whatever i said earlier. The problem is directly related to the Voicemail "@" bug fix. The seem edit that is done to fix the voicemail bug some how also deletes the call divert option of "When Unavaliable" which is what sends the caller to vm when the end button is pressed.

I guess my question is to Alpha, or whom ever is familiar with the bug fix. what does this seem edit actually do? and is there a setting which fixes the bug, but doesn't delete the call divert option?

grrr....i loove this phone but this whole issue is driving me nuts.
