I'm surprised this hasn't been posted yet but after visiting ccmove today, I saw this was posted on the 20th.

I have flashed this to my phone and it comes China Mobile branded and defaults to chinese. You have to go to Setup(Screwdriver and Wrench) icon in applications and then choose the fifth one down from the list.

Using this firmware removes the quad-band edit so you will have to redo it.

Differences from 08P (That I noticed)

1. Radio has better reception and sound quality.
2. Browser button is realplayer
3. Customized button is video camera
4. Realplayer has different splash screen
5. Edge enabled (its edge firmware duh)
6. Barcode Reader and Talking Dictionary
7. 6 Brand New games installed. Some are touch-screen enabled but haven't had a chance to test most of them
8. Camera and Video Camera seems more fluid and pictures are of better quality.
9. No File Manager included

With this firmware; you just can edit 2 shortcut. I prefer install firmware "10P" because you can edit 4 shortcut. 2 firmware is similar.

UPDATE: So I just tried to extract the games from the firmware using SBF Codec (did it on a friend's PC because I only have a Mac) but the "javaapps" directory was empty. Under "qtapps" there were 6 folders including bcr, talkingdict, and some others but they were not games. There was this one cinmedia player (hella SP cause I can't remember now) and some other new ones I haven't seen, but they weren't games.

So, if there are new games, I don't know how to extract them. Can anyone ayuda me, por favor?

Ok, I tried yan0's verson and it did not give me an E symbol for Edge.... all I had was a G. There were a couple different games on it... Golf some Hudson game etc.. I didn't really care much for it otherwise so flashing back to unbranded 08P until there is a newer unbranded firmware...

All four shortcuts are editable with yan0's firmware.

If I knew how to rip the games I would do it for you. I'm still new to the linux interface so someone point me in the right direction.

Its language pack 0064. English and 2 other oriental languages

I was using my internet all day and the E symbol was displayed. Did a test connection and got 224kb/s download so edge is enabled

Wierd, I just reflashed and it still shows a G on the display... and when I connect it stays a G with a green underline... I know there is Edge available in my area so not sure what gives.... maybe not all E6's have the hardware for it?

Wierd, after flashing back to 08P I seem to have leftovers from this new firmware... For some reason it is not flashing over everything.... So I just took the CG34.smg from the 08P and put it into this firmware and now have no China Mobile branding...


Guess I can live with that...

i am facing a weired thing in this firmware. many of u surely use area info feature. in other firmwares when an area info arived it appears on the screen as text under the operator name but in this firmware it appears like a sms. when an area info arived it arived like a sms. and this is really irritating to get 3-4 smss per minute
