See bootusb requirements for details, I am sure that it works on ubuntu, opensuse and debian... ( in fact every distros i tried it on, but sometimes, i had to build it from source... see getting started wiki page).
I aggree, the tutos get tricky with time, but you know it is an improvement to have that...
Tuto could be simpler, but you will end up with not understanding what you are doing, so the better for now is to ask direct question, and i will try to reply ( especially in dev sub forum ) ...
What is really problematic in the "dual boot gen2" page?
I know sometimes i write some stuff that seems clear to me, and the day after i re- read and find it is really bad and not understandable...
No the tutos are not for newbies, sorry... but tools are on the road, don't worry... The thing is we didn't have a proper way to identify a phone model from the computer, when connected to usb.
Now we begin to ave the necessay database, so bricks are taking place, and the wall is going up...

Hi Friends!

I tried to transfer all my contacts from my E6 to Samsung E840. But there is no option for marking the contacts n transfer in bulk mode.
How to do that.
Is that any F/W that has option or any kind of third party apps is required?

Hum, some advises, my friend : stop highlighting in beautiful red your stupid ( well dumb and off-topic ) questions.
Read your user manuals, both from moto's E6 and the samsung one. search for "backup contact motorolafans" in GOOGLE!
Download motorola phone tools from our site, it will send your contact to MS outlook, etc...
