@saintdannz It should work in theory, though it would depend on what the limitations of the actual radio hardware is, also keep in mind that FM Radio uses Wide FM, above 108MHz you'll start heading into airband territory which is all AM, below 88 may find some free to air tv audio which is also Wide FM, as well as some commercial vhf two way and possibly some emergency services (Fire Brigade here in my part of Australia in the high 60's to low 70MHz region). You'll find most of this will be Narrow FM which will be recieveable by the hardware, but that hardware is designed for wide fm which uses a broader frequency range for its signal so the corresponding hardware is designed to take in a larger chunk of the radio spectrum, so it'll have trouble rejecting crosstalk from any broadcasts on nearby frequencies. |
