i am currently using jimi's previous release.
And yes, it supports autorun.
And no, i don't have any skin files in my memory card.

I already did what you told, that is, i selected different skins but nothing changed.

Try to remove ur memory card and then switch on ur phone again, by doing this, you should b able to c the embedded skins. choose one of the skins. I hope it works..

If this still fails to solve ur problem, then I think it should b something wrong with ur flashing.

Since u didnt have any skin file, y don u also try to put some skin files accordingly into the autorun (skin folder), then try to load a skin fr the memory card. I don hv the problem that u've mentioned here..im using this fw..it works fine...

Sorry Billuri, It was weekend here, I am travelling and have limited net access. Please do the following,

Before attempting flash please turn off pin chacking

1. Download the firmware again.
2. Use RSDlite to flash.
3. Please remove your SD while flashing.
4. RSDlite will show flash failed, but do battery remove trick.
5. Do a master reset. (you can try this)
6. Try changing color scheme to the second or third one.
7. restart the phone once.

And please let me know the result.

Ok..this is what I did. It will show flashing failed, disconnect your phone from the usb cable, remove the batt n leave it for ard 30 seconds. Put back the batt and then switch it on and everything will be fine.

My impression about this fw:
1) The sound quality is better and louder.
2) The overall speed is SLIGHTLY slower than that of the viet+Lambor.
3) Camera and video are fine but SLIGHTLY slower than the viet+Lambor. (It takes longer time to activate the camera)
4) Chinese input is included (Thank God!! )
5) mpkg are usable.
6) Autorun functions well except that the animation (On N Off image) still cant be used.

Overall, this is a great fw with some improvements, thank you jimi for this wonderful fw. One suggestion, I don really like the boot image (the green monster???) ;P is it possible to change it to the original or better picture?

Regarding your impressions,

Point 2 and 3: Are you using MMC card? Because I really feel just opposite on my phone. Can you please check with a different memory card preferably SD card? One more thing are you using auto swap? I am a photography enthusiast, and shutter lag is what I hate most. I feel the shutter lag is noticeably less on this mod.
Point 5: Are you telling On and Off animation not working? Please make sure both on.gif and off.gif are in small letter.

Try this firmware with the boot image changed. (it is a token of thank from me).

Ok..I will try ur suggestion, it might be true coz i've just changed my memory card to 2GB, and it is micro SD used with the adapter.

I love to take photos too..maybe u can share your "Masterpiece" somewhere in this forum..it will be fun

Congrats for this firmware. As, I could able to mod using RadioComm without any difficulty. Speed is really good.
I would looking further for the firmware which can have the modification which I was looking for. That is, whenever I'll end my call, it should back to home screen instead of the dial pad screen.
Hope I could see in your next version.
Again congratulation for this good firmware.

Nice firmware jimikid2002, great job man.
I flashed to this firmware and here's my report.
pros :
- nice touchscreen sound
- nice font, but I've problems with this font when I use opera mini 4.1
- delivery report is autoenabled

cons :
- apply font not working for me
- I can't change the skin

overall this is a good firmware.

I put this FW on my phone. So far so good. Flash failed, but it definetly seems quicker. KI have two phones so I can compare side by side. I notice no difference in camera quality over my .08PAhman/neil's mod. It seems alot faster.

I like the default themes and wallpapers. Plus startup shot of "the Beast" is pretty cool. I like to have some discreet ringtones, for now I have them as MP3s. I may make a few changes to the FW to add tones and my personal theme.

One problem I can't seem to get the Fonts to come on at startup up.
I put the .ttf file in /mmc/mmca1/autorun/fonts, that is correct?

Yesterday I played with the phone and tried a .22 and .10, but a lot of my apps wouldn't work.

I am still new to this phone modding and I make a lot of my descions based on other peoples reactions. The main negatives I kept seeing where, Screen3 proplems, no VR, and no songID. Those three are uselless to me.

As long as the phone works and I can play GameBoyAdvance I'm happy.

Nice that the "www008w" check shows up as a .10p firmware even though .mpkg works.


Also this is the first FW that allowed me to put the icons in list view. Plus its alot easier to un-install programs. Maybe thats just "smart assist" because I never had that before.

Anyway nice FW. Good Job
