My first script/app

Hey everyone! I've made my first app. Carrier Key Custom V1.0 for A1200 and E6

What this app does is copies over the shortcut key to the carrier key (net key or realplayer key). What's the use? Well if you don't really use the realplayer often, you can set it to any app.

To install use MPKG

To use:

The first use will copy over your original ezx_hardkey.cfg to the mmc root. If at any time you want to revert back, just rename the ezx_hardkey.cfg to ezx_hardkey.BAK . Then run the app again. It will give a 'dingdong'. This means that it was reverted back.

What the app does is take the custom key's code and assigns it to the carrier key. so whatever you set the custom key to is what the carrier key becomes after you run the prog. After you run the prog you can set the custom key to whatever you wish. It works on-the-fly, which is nice.

This is confirmed to work on ROKR E6 w/ 06p f/w.

lol i thought that the A1200 had a carrier button but i was mistaken. Could a mod throw this over in the E6 forums? Thanks!

aaahhh dude this ain't working for me! i get the ding restart the phone but the carrier key is still set to the voice recognition key...

extremely annoying how it blurts it out so loud it's embarassing. (wouldn't know how to shut it up would you?)

Sorry that this app will not work w/ 08p hybrid f/w. Only w/ any other f/w. The key in 08p hybrid is remapped. This re-assigns the app code to the carrier
key.

Also, just to let everyone know, one doesn't need to restart the phone, it changes it automatically w/ no restart required.
