Default INFO: Saving SMS on memory card

I know many of you might already be doing this but for those of who who dont heres a simple way of doing it.

Requirements:
1. You need to have modded firmware on your phone, it can be done without though but the mount --bind command must be executed every time you power on the phone.
2. main.db file, this is located in your /ezx_user/sysDatabase, copy this file to you memory card, say folder called Mount
3. Startup1.txt

Procedure:
1. If you're using modded firmware that enables the use of startup1.txt just enter the following in your startup1.txt mount --bind /mmc/mmca1/Mount/main.db /ezx_user/sysDatabase/main.db
2. If you're not running modded firmware run a lin script(or with eKonsole) with the above command at every power on.

You mean to say I run the mount command every bootup in eKonsole and all my messages go to memory card?

I don't have Startup1.txt..

All your messages wont go to the memroy card, an future messages that arrive will go to your memory card as well as your address book and e-mails. If you want startup.txt working I released a 08p CG43 sometime ago with startup.txt working, you can search for it and flash it, it wont overwrite on any of your info, just changes the flash, which is a slightly modified Indian version. When you mount --bind use the main.db from your own ezx_user folder since all your data will be stored there and you can just continue adding to it without taking up precious phone memory as new SMS come. If you use this then the no of SMS etc become unlimitied(as per mem card space )

still same problem with another modding f/w.

I need USB Storage mode to transfer MP3 file. most of it are in thai filename. and most of modding f/w use mount --bind into MMC.

what's the need of donig this mount bind stuff (may be personal choice) when u only need a main.db file as back up on regular basis ( Ghost app does it well) and when u need to restore it u can do it easily by pasting the file to /ezx_user/sysDatabase/main.db
also this file also contains our contacts so it will solve ur dual purpose..

If you mount bind anything from your memory card you cant use it in mass storage mode, including fonts and Swap.
