DISCUSSION: ROCKBOX on the E6

Hi dude!

I downloaded the Doom game for the above link and like you said copied them both to /mmc/mmca1/rockbox/archos/.rockbox/doom/. Now when I go to plugin in rockbox and try running Doom, I get a error msg stating base wad missing...

Help plzzzzz.....

Make a folder by name of doom ( all small letters) in .rockbox then copy the two files rockdoom.wad and doom1.wad (mind the spelling and case) thats it!

hi all
I was able to successfully run rockbox on my mobile.
But i dint follow the instructions carefully.
i installed rockbox first then i installed exmms but both are working fine
Thanks for these two softwares.These are great
But i am having some problem while playing doom game:
1) Many of the times when i try to save the gave the rockbox quits without saving the game so i have to start playing from last saved point. ( it does the save thing sometimes)
2) I am not able to play the other two levels in doom1.wad i can play only the first mission out of the three options
3) When i am abt to finish the level by clicking that red button at exit the rockbox shuts down and i have to play the game again(BUT SOMETIMES IT WORKS AS WELL)
i am not able to save the game in the central proccessing map neither i am able to complete the level as the rockbox quits when i push that button at exit, i have tried around 30 times to finish that level but no use(for the last 3 days i am stuck there)
Is anybody having similar problems?
or its only with me
I have tried these things with swap on as well as as swap off( i am having 64 mb swap)
Any help will be appreciated

i have installed rockbox according to the procedure
dut after clicking the icon of rockbox on the mobile it does not open
now the problem is that iave installed rockbox 3 times
none of them work

Have u installed exxms first as advised by the 1st post.u should install the blackhawk version.there are two versions of exxms available. and to uninstall rockbox u shud read uninstalling .pkg cleanly post which is in the forum somewhere then reinstall exmms and rockbox again.the entry in registry shud be deleted also.

i uninstalled all the versions of rockbox & exmms
then again i installed exmms & rockbox
exmms opens but rockbox doesnt
i have installed the versions which are present on the starting page of rockbox discussion

go to developments forum get the new version of rockbox...rockbox a1200/e6...it doesnot need exxms

Hi everyone...

This is my first post here. Iam very new to Motorola & this forum. I got a new motorokr E6 on new year day. Its great. I wanted to install a good audio video player for my mobile. Then i came to know about Rockbox. Heard its very good.

I have tried to the best of my abilities to install this software. Fianally i did. but its not running. So plz help me to install rockbox.

This is how i tried to install it.

First i installed smart assistant and then installed eXMMS player. Then i installed rockbox but its not working.

So plz help me with this regard. Plz let me know which is the latest eXMMS player.

if you want only exxms, try the donga version....its the best....but if u want rockbox,....go to the rockbox development forum and dwld the latest version. it doesnt need exxms

WHAT IS /mmc/mmca1/
when ever i put it in address bar it opens an explorer which says page cannot be displayed i need help.
