@sushajames: there's something wrong there. I have tried opening upto 10 applications with a 128 mb swap file. And it's worked well.

Go to your sd card after activating swap and check if the ON folder has been created. Post back results.

I noticed that there are some members that are having issues w/ activating the swap file on their phone. Whether it be not being able to find a PKG for it or make the prog work correctly. So here is a very simple PKG for it: MySwap . It is as simple as it gets: First launch installs the swap and activates the swap file. Click again, it deactivates swap. Simple as that.

NOTE: This prog will tell you what it's doing. It'll say whether it is activating the swap or not., via ezxpopup.

Here is a 128mb Swap file. Install the prog first and if you want to use the 128mb swap, all one needs to do is overwrite the existing swap.bin in /mmc/mmca1/Swap/ (the folder 'Swap' in the SD card root). Any Q's, Complaints, Threats? Post em'!

what does swap do..i installed it,it activated or deactivates when taped on it...

but what does it activates and deactivates...
i read the whole thread,all what i could get is that this app use memory card's memory as phones memory....ami getting it right or am i mistaken...

ok.. but which part of memory it takes t use it as virtual memory...(is it memory of our SD card)
also how to use this virtual memory...i mean is it just used as an RAM(as in computers).....

what this software does is to allow you to run a lot of apps simultaneously... i.e. you never get the annoying "Phone memory is almost full please close some applications" message.
