How to edit categories?

Does anyone know how to rename the two categories called 'user 1' and 'user2' in the App list? I ask this b/c i want to change one to 'Games' and the other to 'Modding'. I know this is possible, on my E6 f/w version 06p, instead of 'user 1' it is 'CMCC'. So obviously since China Mobile was able to have that part branded, it must be able to be edited no? I've looked all over the cfg files in /ezxlocal/download/appwrite/setup/ with no luck. I didn't think it was there, just thought that i'd check. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

unfortunetely no way to rename or create categories.
that is a defaut of the ming....
(nobody is perfect!).

I want change too because really it will very useful but no way actually !

Hi,

I don't have the firmware binaries handy, but wouldn't a quick hex search and replace of the binaries be an option?

Certainly not the most elegant approach, but it should work.

The categories are listed in a file called NativeDB in directory /usr/language/preloadapps. Hope this helps you, I know you'll share how if you succeed.

Freakin' sick dude... Will check out when i get my linux machine (@ home).



EDIT: I couldn't find any such file... I searched everywhere in the f/w w/ no luck... It's for the A1200/E6... Perhaps the f/w is dif in that respect?
