Development under linux with eclipse works now. I have successfully developed some of the demo apps in the moto toolkit and also tried some own tests successfully. Unfortunately under java it's the same as with linux with timers.

I tried a sleep thread test which only runs if power cable connected. The same with the midp2.0 classes of timer and timertasks.

The last hope might be to set an event in the calendar app via java, if that works.

    well, that's easy !
    before running efem, do this:

    export EZX_LOCAL_PATH=/mmc/mmca1/

after that, efem searches for programs in /mmc/mmca1/download/appwrite
so, just copy your binaries there and enjoy (interactive stuff doesn't run, though, only programs that exit immediately).

Why do that when its easier to just make a symlink to busybox as cytux did?
Yes, but does it run Linux?

    Hello maxx,

with the new ezxpath you would be able to get much large files in there to run. You wan't even more have to symlink. Also, if you already using busybox in the telnet from remote and had symslinks with busybox made, you may point the ezxpath to this location.

Hmm found a few other weird things with the apps in /usr/SYSqtapp
There seems to be a Di Agent (dynamic idle agent), you can start it by . /home/native/.profile and then . /usr/SYSqtapp/dynamicidle/di_ctl. Anyone have any idea what this thing is? It even has a few control buttons, to the right of the homescreen, eg: launch, turnoff, refresh, toggle and exit.
Yes, but does it run Linux?

There's lots of cool stuff in /usr/SYSqtapp. There's what appears to be a positioning daemon (for a model with hardware GPS maybe) and even stranger there seems to be a SIP daemon. Running "strings" on it reveals may statments that appear consistent with the SIP voice over IP protocol. At least in C3 they both existed I haven't checked C5 yet.

As for the dynamic idle, there are settings for that in the ezx_idle.cfg file as well, but no idea what they do. Seems to have a setting for a url, so maybe it loads random images or something when idle (or even news feeds or something useful like that)
