Default fake_gprs source code anyone? (i.e. suppress motophonetools)

    Dear all,

As I stated in another thread my plans are to use airsync exchange or ota to get rid of mobile phone tools and have a fully working solution with a linux host and my phone to sync contacts/calendar/mails etc. without using the gprs $$$ interface.

The missing piece to the puzzle right now is the fake_gprs source code for the kernel module provided in the mackconnectivity pack that was originally provided for a780.
Since the module binary is extremely small I guess that it might consist in a small piece of code but before investigating myself I figured that I should ask first (yes I am lazy...).

In case mack or anyone else could post the code here that would be great.

    Thanks,

This is good news swift...I did not research future because I don't have fake_gprs....

But, Bragon, I stopped in a point that it was one message missing in fake_dsm.

the message code 8 is used only by native pre-installed applications such as opera. And my problem was only Java applications.

in the case of A780 it is a fixed message with the IP Address.
in the case of A1200 it is not fixed and I could not figure (just few tests) what it means.
I think it also has the IP Address but I don't know how it is coded. It is not a direct 4 bytes IP Address. I did not research more because I didn't have fake_gprs anyway.

And to reverse engineer that message format I need to actually connect and make some GPRS requests. This message is sent by Opera only on a http request.

    Switft please keep us updated.
Covis, I have no GPRS restrictions and would be happy to help reverse engineering the solution. Perhaps we can use this thread to progress there.
