Hi all.
I managed to set a dual boot configuration on my a780 phone. Now i can switch between the original motorola kernel and a OpenEZX development kernel at boot time.
The binary custom blob used to do this can be downloaded at http://people.openezx.org/wyrm/myflash.tgz along with instructions and the patches.
regards.
WyrM

hi WyrM,
have you tried OpenMoko with the openezx kernel?
sorry for my noobish question
and very much thanks for your work on A780!
(you woke up a nearly sleeping project)
bye

I have not tried much on userspace yet, i really want to bring the kernel to a production/usable state before starting to hack userspace.
And how near you're from this goal?Originally Posted by wyrm

the only major hardware support that is still missing are sound drivers and camera.
About the sound drivers, yesterday i heard the first "pop" from it. I have base alsa(asoc) driver working with some mixer controls. No digital audio yet.
The development on the OpenEZX kernel is going really fast. BP comm is almost stable, Power Management is working.
checkout our 2.6.21 branch at http://svn.openezx.org/branches/kernel-2.6.21-patches/
And Cesar, we are needing talented developers to start porting our code to other ezx phones.. It would be great if you start the work on the a1200I can support you, even personaly as we live in the same city, f you have any questions.
I'm not that talented, even more as a developer...Originally Posted by wyrm
But hey, there are great developers here. Maybe they need only to know OpenEZX; a bootable image, like MkEZX does, would be wonderful.
