    Default App: AutoLCD Auto-adjust LCD brightness based on time

    After quite sometime, I found sometime to work on our phone..

    ========== AutoLCD v 1.0 - by Gerald Naveen A ==========
    Are you not able to see your mobile screen in the night, because it is soo bright?
    Are you not able to see your mobile screen properly in the day time, because it is
    not bright enough??

    I am sure everyone of us has this issue, as we have to use our mobile at various
    locations and ambient light.

    Anyways we cant figure out the intensity of ambient light due to lack of hardware.
    So I thought atleast it would be great if I can write an app which could adjust
    the brightness automatically based on the ** current time **..

    impressed? want it? Here it is!!! AutoLCD!

    AutoLCD adjusts the backlight intensity automatically based on the current local time.

    Features:

    * User configurable intensity at various time periods.
    * Time periods being: [0,6), [6,9), [9-18 ), [18-22), [22-24)
    * Executes only when the flip is opened or when you get an incoming call. So there is no
    CPU overhead unnecessarily.

    More info in the README file (in attached zip file).

    Last but not least, PLEASE DONT ASK FOR AN UI TO CONFIGURE INTENSITY. I HATE QT INTERFACE PROGRAMMING. I wont do it, unless it is extremely important. I think this is just an one time configuration.

    From the context and semantics, I'd say Gerald only dislikes the idea of designing and coding Qt UI's.

    just my insignificant opinion; of course.[/b]

    Sorry,

    What phone is this application for?
    "If I am somewhere where no one knows me,
    And I also know no one,
    What I thought I'd do there was,
    I'd become one of those deaf mutes...

    yes true. I meant that I hate UI programming in QT only. No offense against QT lovers; may be I should say I am lazy to code for UI manually (yes i dont have any tool).

    I think tsbl changes lcd screen brightness when invoked. This app changes brightness automatically, based on current local time.

    *automatically* is not a simple loop with sleep (which wont work), but when the flip is opened or there is an incoming call. This app also persists the backlight value permanently.
