you have todo:
mkfs.ext3 -j /dev/sda2
(/dev/sda2 depends on your real device)
it takes a long time for the first start.
finally i did the same as Clovis KKK and nothin hapens too...
to be more specific. I've formated both partitions in Pmagic and then using winrar extracted tar to the Ext2 partition. Tapping on the installed mkezx shortcut does nothing.
does anyone tested it on E680i ?

@fubar
I have tried on my kora E6, the handset halt when I use mkezx.
Can you provide a E6 boot?
Forgive my bad English.
E680i NO FLASH
It works fine.....they key for me was not to use winrar...or even any of the linux file archiving apps. They just didn't work at all...follow the instructions perfectly...and use the 'tar' command in linux. If you don't have a linux box...pull down a live cd, Ubuntu Linux or anything will do. And follow the instructions line by line. It works fine for me on my e680i standard with no flashing.

@CLOVIS KKK, intoxicated
May be files permission changed by archiever app so your binary file not executeable anymore. You can make it back executable using "chmod +x" command. I hope this solution can help.
eXMMS and Rockbox running on E680, E680i, E680g, A780, A1200 and ROKR E6
did everything again unnder live cd and its working nicely...
very interesting..![]()

FS type journaling ext3.
I'm using a Debian inside VMWare. Maybe VMWare is corrupting the files when I copy to the card. I'll try a real (not vmware) linux tomorrow.
I ran out of space during untar to the ext3 partition I made, which was, for used space reasons 100MB... so I assume I need more room.
Ok then I have to delete things on the FAT16 partition, resize it, and restart the process again but:
Could you inform us about the space needed for the image?
I mean, you could tell us what are the minimum space required and an optimum space required If we have to play arond with this![]()
Thank you and great work!!!!
Gelobt sei was Hart macht...
IIRC (I'm away from my test SD) you need at least 150MB.Originally Posted by flammenwerfer
