Moto SDK 6.2, A1200 and Linux (Desktop) Hi all,
I'm willing to develop some little apps for my A1200, and I figured java would be the easy way to go. I'm using Linux (Mandriva) for developing (well actually for everything).
I downloaded JDK 1.5.10, netbeans, netbeans mobilitu CLCD, and of course the Motorola SDK 6.2 for Linux... For Linux ? Or is it ? Then why do I get a stinky Mot_Linux_6.2.exe ? Ok, I get it, it must be some weirdo back at Moto who did a self-extract zip file... Crossover Office will come to the rescue !
But no luck, "Your OS is not supported, you need Windows 2000 or XP".
What ? I need to develop Linux apps on Java from a Windows box ? How crazy is that ? What about java's portability ?
Anyway, now I'm stuck. Ok I guess I can try the Eclipse plugin, but I kind of like Netbeans and I got a nice tutorial with it...
Anybody can help me get the SDK working with Netbeans on a Linux box ?
Thanks a lot !
