if i get it right it is a replacement gui.
don´t know if the firmware is also replaced.
i am sorry can´t tell you more.

This is a full firmware replacement with a 2.6.11 kernel.

Looks nice, but does it support phone features of our mobile? Can we make calls?

only speculation from my side.
it has kernel 2.6.
i have nowhere read about working phone function on 2.6 only with selfcompiled 2.4
but it is nice to see that development is going on (specialy on A780)
but i have good hope that they get it working in the near future

we need here anybody with the skills to test it. and give some firsthand comments.

maybe this could be esposed in the development section, most daring-developers read there, and, if this really interesting project really works for A780, completely or partially, then it should on the E680i almost directly or with little modifications, I think....
