bcoz, on my phone, when i click on mpkg I always get a dialog asking for the "install in (phone/mmc)" and the application group(office, multimedia, user1...). I dont know when it would not come.

i dont know, too. But question is now "can i install yr apps on the phone instead in MMC and then correct the link in InstallDB ?"

my vibe application will try to use soundcontrol application from the hardcoded path /mmc/mmca1.... so you need to install atleast soundcontrol application onto MMC. if you know how to install an application manually, by created appropriate folders in QTDownLoad and modifying the application database, you can do so.

Or install the apps in Phone, and create a link for the gerald_soundcontrol binary, in /mmc/mmca1/.system/QTDownLoad/gerald_soundctrl/ folder. That should work.

sorry for my stupidity but could u show me how to move installed apps from phone to the MMC. I know this topic was already talk on the forum but i cant search where it is. Or could u change hardcoded path of soundcontrol instead to /mmc/mmca1... to the phone ? Thanks

to install to mmc you need modified firmware (or CG's) which activates mpkg installation, this way when you install mpkg's it acts just like when you install jar's
if you're just using mpkg installer with a normal firmware it won't give you the option of where to install

This is why all my MPKG apps are installed in the phone. Thanks tarwin. However could u tell me is there any way to move already installed apps (MPKG) from phone to MMC ? Thanks

@tarwin: I dont have any modified firmware, but I do get the installation dialog just like tar files. I dont know! may be the MPKG installer application has something to do with this?
