hey naveen...can u develop missed called alerts for a780 pls?..cos when the flip is closed there is no way u can know if u missed a call...
This is exactly similar in functionality like my app for A780 posted here:
http://www.motorolafans.com/index.ph...ewtopic&t=4989
For instructions on how to install, look at the above thread.
NOTE: I dont have a e680/i. so i am not able to test this code! I wrote this app completely based on my interest on the E680/i users, considering this as a basic necessity of a phone.
It will be great if some E680 users can test it and post the result. If it does not work, I would definitely like to do some more experiments with the same app, and I want some volunteers to test them in such a case
Again, I have not tested this app. rather I cannot. I do not gaurantee that this app will work for E680/i, neither do I gaurantee that I would come up with one such application somehow.
btw, this uses HAPTICS to simulate vibration on E680/i

Hi naveen ur great, u r doing lot of good work n tq for ur support. I tested with E680i, the application not working. No vibration.
Ok the first try failedOriginally Posted by arasagumar
Now I need more info to debug. So can you please install the new one, and then attach the file /tmp/gerald_vibe_log for me to investigate. i've added enough logs to pin point the problem (i dont however know if i can solve all problems
)
I would be happy to get responses for other E680 users also, and tested logs, so that I can debug it faster and better.

what exactly do u want by alert?? I guess I can do something to figure out if the call was missed or not; however, as of now, I have no info on the caller id. can you exactly tell me what kind of alert you want?Originally Posted by mech_nrg
note: if the idea is good i will add it to my queue; it may not be available immediatelyi've a reasonably lengthy queue for now

. I think i should look at the kernel source for E680 again, and figure out what might 've gone wrong. I am almost sure i did the right thing, i hope I dont 've a wrong kernel source for E680!
