the org. e680 can make 352x288res and 7FPS video recordings with an easy modification but i don't know that will work also on the e680i/g.

motorolafans.com/index...Q&cat=3#51

if you want like dvd res and quality video - you have to solder another video chip for the cam in to the e680/i/g. so its not possible...

hmm.. that will be quite difficult for the phone because thats not a high speed phone that can afford 15FPS in VGA mode and without sound not that good...

maybe that will be another good function for capcam but if it works than has about 5FPS and not more and NO sound...

You know - multi-shutter? It's probably possible.

Just tell the phone to take different pictures in tiny intervals - and 20 pictures... or something..

Of course, it has to be in a low resolution - else you can wait for the next millenium to come when it's done.

wouldn't this basically be the same as mjpeg?
overclocking might help
also remember that the resolution isn't the only thing, with jpegs you get quality control, so if we have them at top quality they will need more memory, but if we reduce the quality we'd keep the res but they'd be smaller, meaning faster write times. And though the normal camera application doesn't control much of the jpeg quality campcap does.
if audio is compressed to amr by a specific chip (I have no idea about this) then including audio might not be too great a hit on performance.

asad and tarwin, u both r right.
i still dont C any developer jumping in to support the idea.

mjepeg, with quality control even without sound is not a bad deal. if it can be done.
how about including this feature to camcap? or the other java app.
