I need proper answer only. I think you people can understand my requirement even though it is in CAPS or even though it stucked.

If you have any problem with all caps just inform what is the problem for you with CAPS.

well, there is this J2ME midlet that claims to do what you want
I think you can find it in getjar.com
I haven't tried it nor plan to so I don't know much about it.

on side note, since you mentioned OOo:
you can get the source, copy the functions that open MS files and file manipulation; wrap around these functions to make an app out of it

or port over a hex editor...

in other words, there currently is no such application (unless the java application underscore mentioned works)

and caps is the electronic equivalent to yelling. and as you won't want people to yell every request at you, so shall you not use all caps when requesting things.
