Avahi / Zeroconf / Bounjour Support for A780/e680i

Hey People ,

I know you are all doing gr8 stuff out there... Just wanted to know whether anybody is working on Avahi or Zeroconf for A780/e680i..

I'm currently getting to know more on Avahi as i'm using Ubuntu 6.06. Also reading Zero Configuration Networking: The Definitive Guide
By Daniel H. Steinberg, Stuart Cheshire and the concept is definitely very interesting.

If we can have this on EZX, this a great boost for us as connectivity to PCs running windows/Linux or a MAC is easily addressed and there is no need of special configuration to be done on the phone.

Just Imagine some examples..all these without worrying about configuring the phone :

1. Turn On Bluetooth on PC and the phone is connected to PC over PAN.
2. Connect thru USB and Automatically the Phone can see the PC and mount folders.
3. Print from Phone to Printers connected to the PC
4. Phone can send an recieve Streaming audio.



I am personally interested to doing something for this and looking for some good company and support [] .. Any ideas and suggestions !!!!

PS: I m not into much programming. I'm good at C,C++ but lost touch of late. OT:

hiiiii ..yeah had gone into some sort of hibernation ..due to various ..now im back and also have 256 K Unltd broadband connection... also.. I got a 512 MB Transflash to try out Harald weltes' Linux ...Boots but get a Kernel Panic..Will port in a new thread ..

So.. you have a look on Avahi ? I think its really coool...and will make EZX phones to talk easily to any device..including MAC..PCS..Win/Linux ..No Bar!!!
