Default Hey devs how close are we really?

I try to keep my eyes on the openezx project and I see you all porting things from opie etc to ezx, but how close are we really to doing away with ezx all together. I see linux being booted, touchscreen enabled, opie being loaded successfully on top of that or other gui's. It seems like it is very close to being completed but as I am no programmer I just dont know what all is left. Any clues?

There is no AP-BP communication so you can't use your phone as a phone (all functions connected with access to GSM radio are in BP).
I think this is the main problem.
