how much will that cost? and after buying, we can't really distribute it legally, right?
i assume some one has looked into this and found it to be too expensive
but why not buy a copy of montavista linux dev kit
from what i can tell it will include things like source and ide's
and might even include full source or electronic demo kits
i think that at purchase you can pick up a support option
which includes a login and access to downloads including updates
i visited the site and it looks like their fairly willing to sell
but not to some fellow off the street
hence the lack of price tag
if the price is right i'll pick up a copy here a couple months
as part of my buy software i have initiative
anyone know where to find a System 5 manual for my HP 9000 ...
probably can distribute dervative works
on the prices of dev kits the industry standard
is to provide them at cost or even for free
and then set the price per unit of the chips high
don't think that would work in this case
cause the chips aren't from montavista
so i assume they charge a royalty on a per distro basis
of course once i get it i'll have to read the fine print
especially relating to royalty, and redistribution
if i were to figure a rough figure i would say
since it contains an ide ...
on par with a copy of a microsoft ide
but mabey more due to source included
not more than a professional tool like
mathematica or autocad
at the very least i can compile versions of tools on the real toolchain
i get the idea that motorola left out
over half of what can be built out of the box
anyone know where to find a System 5 manual for my HP 9000 ...
