Thread: RW rom

    Default RW rom

What is the Fs supporded by the kernel without load modules?

cramfs is one, and vfm other, any one more?

i'm searching a way to flash the rom to do it writable,
i think that if we flash a rootfs with vfs and not cramfs we can write to it

Works fine for most desktop Linux setups, zauruses also have writable filesystems, I don't see why not

Can we use JFFS2 as rootfs? Need kernel recompiling for this?

Isn't vfm also a module? I think cramfs may be the only built-in fs.

Also, you'll need to use a compressed FS like cramfs to fit everything, unless you move a lot of stuff to /diska or a transflash.
