Oh, perhaps the buttons need to be changed (there is a special file for that).
To be honest, I don't know C++ so , my participation isn't very much helpfull...
In my java courses I did code a calculator, but it was in a dozen of lines, and it wasn't so advanced!

I'm trying to understand the code, and find it very subtile and well done for a "beginner", but hey, the guy published it after probably a lot of trials, and learnings.
--> He should have blogged his work!!

Take a look at ilove680i.ys168.com this is the best sourcecode bank I know for EZX software. A lot of programmer add some comments, and the mojority of those softwares are GPLed...

Some advises would be helpfull, perhaps beause we are close to a working software, you (and I) seems to be able to have a toolchain working, and, so, to modify the code. At that point, a little hand will be helpfull, to understand the damn EZX layer, the UI part of the calculator probably need that tweak, even if it's designed for 240x320 screens...
    Blackhawk? anyone??

While Ezx phones are using qt-Embeded, the version of "SlideRulez" I was talking use Qtopia 1,5...
Wich is not a so bad news if I understood correctly some Blackhawk's posts

BTW, Just a hint: you could try a qEMU based live cd / distro, just for building littles apps ?

BTW1.5:Regarding the pretty good shape of the project, and perhaps how close from a new working release we are, you could perhaps build an OpenEzx crosstools environment to use qtopia, FSO, ... with whatever software you want on your phone, but if you really need an app working NOW, just use (the damn) moto's platform.

I found on sourceforge the "sdkzaurusDSL" wich is a livecd distro based on Damn Small Linux (nice and can be converted to a debian install) and wich already contain the necessary crosstools for the openzaurus environment.

BTW2, have also a look at this threads if you didn't already do that :

And for your culture: The little Ezx devs starting point story, (in 2005, on E680!):

    Keep cool.
